The New York Choral Society performs a wide range of choral music in many wonderful venues and with exciting collaborators.

Auditions
Auditions are offered for all voice parts in late August, before the start of our season (some mid-season auditions may also be offered). If you would like to audition with us, please complete the audition request form below or contact us at auditions@nychoral.org. Thank you for your interest in singing with us!
Performing in our chorus
NYCHORAL, led by music director David Hayes, is a great place to perform wonderful choral music, and make lots of friends. Our typical season is September to May/mid-June. We rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings, 7-9:30pm, on the Upper West Side. Our schedule includes some Saturday rehearsals and dress rehearsals on other weekdays, as needed for each concert.
Preparing for your audition
Your audition with Music Director David Hayes will include singing a short prepared piece (less than 3 minutes). It may be any style of music; we ask singers to bring an extra copy of the score for our accompanist. The audition will also include vocal scales, a rhythm-reading exercise and a short sight-reading selection.
