Disrupting the Canon

Choral classics reimagined

2025 – 2026 Season

New York Choral Society’s 67th Season

Join us for a bold, disruptive season. We’re breaking classical music stereotypes and transforming the concert hall. Our 67th Season, Disrupting the Canon: Choral Classics Reimagined, dares to do something different. We’re challenging the way we experience choral music, transforming familiar masterworks into bold, immersive, and emotionally powerful events.

From staging Honegger’s King David as a full theatrical production to reframing Mozart’s Requiem with new music by Gregory Spears and dynamic visual projections, we are pushing beyond the traditional concert format.

New York Choral Society’s 2026 Spring Gala

The Metropolitan Club | March 2026

This year’s gala promises an unforgettable night, featuring a live auction packed with once-in-a-
lifetime vacations and experiences. Warm up that paddle arm and join us in supporting our bold, innovative programming with a show of generosity.

We’re turning up the tempo and heading to the dance floor earlier this year, so grab a glass of wine,
hit the floor, and let the DJ take it from there.
